Now that the weather is getting increasingly cooler and the conditions are becoming harsher, many cat owners are worrying how to keep their cats warm in these freezing termperatures. This is espeically true of outdoor cats. If your cat spends that majority of his or her time indorrs, then there is little to worry about. However if your cat frequently goes outside, especially in the evenings then it may be worth considering what you can do as an owner to ensure that your cat stays warm.

Perhaps the easist way of doing this is by increasing the amount of pet food that you give to your cat. Typically, when the weather is a lot cooler more energency is burnt up through keeping the cats body warm. Cats are designed to withstand a lot colder weather than humans given their thick fur coats, however wind and especially rain can be rather upsetting! By feeding the cat more, then it has extra reserves in energy that can be invested in keeping warm. Be sure not to over feed the cat is that can be equally damaging for their health.
